Old Skool Rap, I'm Sirius!
Hallelujah! I just discovered channel 6043 on my Dishnetworks satellite. It's called Sirius BackSpin: Old skool rap. Need I say more? This channel kicks some serious booty! Non-stop, old school hip-hop! They just played some Busta Move by Young M.C. I'm on cloud nine!

Fraidy Hole
My wife and I went out in Lawrence with our friend Pam last night. We stumbled upon the Hosty Duo at the Gaslight Tavern. These guys put on a very entertaining show. We went into the joint with the idea that we might stay for a couple songs, but we ended up staying for the entire show. The lead guy, Mike Hosty, has many musical talents. He plays the guitar, bass and kazoo all at the same time. He also has quite a knack for writing entertaining songs. A couple of my favorites were "Fraidy Hole" (a song about storm cellars) and "Married Man." These guys are from Norman, OK, and they travel throughout the midwest playing gigs. Any of you that live in the midwest and are looking for some good live music should check these guys out if you get the chance. You won't be disappointed!

Crappy-doo
I feel sh*tty today. I think I'm feeling the effects of my late-night procrastination party two nights ago. Turns out, that was all for nothing anyway as the professor decided not the make the paper due until next week. Dammit! At least I've got the stupid thing done now.

Next time I'm forced to stay up late, please remind me to stay away from the cigarettes. The coffee isn't bad, but the damn cancer sticks tend to get the best of me the next day, and the day after that. I'm such a wuss.

Have a great weekend everybody. Don't forget to go trick-or-treating!

Fist Full of Steel
I generally don't get agitated very easily, but I'd sure like to spend some time in a room alone with this guy and some loud Rage Against the Machine blaring. RATM always puts me in the mood to throw down.

To the Shire We Go!
Could this have been Bilbo's wife?

Caught in a Vice
I have to be the Grand Pooh-bah of procrastinators. Why can't I just get things done ahead of time so I don't have to stay up into the wee hours of the morning to meet my assigned deadlines? This sucks. I want to be in bed right this moment! When will I learn?

I abhor writing English papers.
I'd much rather be watching baseball, which I am. I have a paper due tomorrow, but I have yet to work on it much. I'm not grammatically impaired by any means. I just don't enjoy writing about the stupid sh*t we have to write about in this composition class. Plus, it's comp II. I'm in there with a bunch of 18 year-olds. I never thought 25 would feel so old! I guess there is a disadvantage to majoring in engineering and not having to take anything above comp I. If you decide to go back to school for something else, you'll most likely have to take comp II; with a bunch of kids!

Looks like the Red Sox just might reverse that curse. Good for them. Now those Bostonians will have to find something else to bitch about all the time. C'mon, you've got the Red Sox and the Patriots. Share the wealth a little!

I guess any good midwesterner should be pulling for the Cardinals, but I kinda like seeing them losing. Their fans give us Royals fans way too much sh*t. The only thing we've still got on'em is 1985. Nineteen-eighty-freakin-five!! If they were to win the World Series then we'd have absolutely nothing on them. I've got to be honest. I love the Royals, but they really suck! Mike Sweeney embodies the word turd. Why didn't we let him go and keep Carlos Beltran? That boy's got some skillz to pay the bills! Too bad. Looks like he'll be wearin' those damned pinstripes by this time next year.

I really hate thieves.
I had a severe craving for some "Ruthless Villain" by Eazy-E today. I could've popped that CD in and listened to it without a problem, if I still had it! That CD is one of a list of many that were stolen from my car a few years ago, along with most of my stereo equipment. F*ckers!! I've never missed my stereo stuff that much, but the CD's comprised a major part of my identity. We grew up together in the nineties through high school and college. I still kick myself for having all 200 of my favorite CD's with me that night. What the hell was I thinking?? I never had them all in my car with me; usually just a select few at any point in time. Of course, the one time I brought the whole book with me, my car got broken into by some worthless, scumbag thief. I have since repurchased a couple of my absoulute favorites, like "Ready to Die" by The Notorious B.I.G., but many of the others remain fond memories for now. So, this is a shout out to Everclear, The 2 Live Crew, 311, Ice Cube, Garth Brooks, Ma$e, Diamond Rio, Biggie, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Dr. Dre, Naughty by Nature, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine and the many others that were lost on that fateful evening. I love you guys and I miss you. We will all be reunited someday. I promise!

Tonz 'O' Gunz
What's with all this missing ammo dump stuff in the news? It's a buncha crap if you ask me. These ammo dumps haven't had anything in them for a year-and-a-half now and CBS and the NY Times have just now decided that it's a big deal?? Give me a break you idiots! Why do they believe that these weapons had to have been there at one point, but yet they refuse to believe that WMD's ever existed in Iraq? I think this missing ammo stuff only gives more credence to the missing WMD theory, but I doubt the Times, or any other major media outlet, will bother exporing that point-of-view.

Gimme the baby rings, and the "#1 Mom" pendants!
I can't think of a better way to cap off a day of studying than to completely punish a test. I just took one for all it was worth and I feel great! Woohoo! Now, time to relax and watch some MNF.

Bush Still Leads the Halloween Mask Race!
This is excellent news. The sales of halloween masks have successfully predicted the outcome of several presidential elections, including the last six. Keep on buying those Bush masks everybody!! Four more years!

I wanna shimmy, shimmy, shimmy to the break of dawn.
I don't know exactly what that means, but it has always sounded like fun to me. I must thank System of a Down for inspiring me to "shimmy, shimmy" as much as possible in life. Okay, back to studying.

Sundays, Gotta Love'em
Especially after a K-State victory! They may have stumbled out of the blocks but KSU still has a chance to get to the Big 12 title game. Missouri lost and we took care of business against the Huskers. Gosh, I love beating the Huskers!

Another good thing about Sundays in the fall is fantasy football. I'm a total fantasy football geek! This year has been a bit of a disappointment for my team so far. Deuce McAllister got hurt and missed a few games. He was my #1 pick. That hurt! Also, I drank way too much of the Kevan Barlow Kool-Aid. He hasn't done diddly yet. I'm hoping he can get untracked and finish the year strong or my Tonganoxie Terrors could be in for a long season!

For the rest of you fantasy geeks, enjoy the best day of your week. Sit back, relax, and absorb as much football as you can. That's what I'll be doing. If only I had DirecTV and Sunday Ticket!! How heavenly that would be...

T.G.I.F.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I'll be attending the Kansas State v. Nebraska football game this Saturday. I hope the 'Cats can pull out a victory. This season has been a disappointment so far. Seriously, we lost to frickin' KU! Arrgh! Just wait 'til basketball season!

Welcome. Please, come in!
Thank you everyone for following me to my new location. I have bid adieu to my first blog after just a few short days in the business. I had already tired of the title. Tongie's a good town, but it's not my hometown and it's probably not the last place I'll live, so I've made a change while the night is still young. Plus, what good is the word "moxie" without the "Tonganoxie"? It's nothing more than the "ability to face difficulty with spirit and courage."

Now I must move on to the era of "Worldwide Rants." I thought that name sounded good for a blog. Please don't take it to mean that I just rant all the time. I will every now and again, but not too much. I'm a nice guy. Really!
