I'm Too Sexy For My Shirt
I did a search on Myspace for 1997 graduates of Washburn Rural High School the other day and found some surprising pics of my old friend Eric. Looks like he finally broke out of his shell. He was about the quietest, most straight-laced guy I knew in high school. I'd have never guessed that he would be the guy from my class to go to NYC and do some modeling. Ya learn something new everyday!

Are You A Pissed-Off New Yorker?
Then go to the Transport Workers Union's blog and bitch at them. It's fun! At the least, go there and read through the comments. They'll add some laughter to your day.

We're Gonna Party Like It's 1999
Kansas State's new head coach, Ron Prince, landed his first prize recruit late last night. Highly touted prep quarterback Josh Freeman backed out of his oral commitment to Nebraska and decided to attend KSU instead. Take THAT Husker fans! Prince is bringin' the "Purple Reign" back to Manhattan!

Get Yer Scissors Ready
It's time for some serious budget cuts. See if you can come up with a feasible balanced budget for the U.S. It's no small task.

(Ding!)
I certainly haven't been shopping for any new shoes
-And-
I certainly haven't been spreading myself around
I still only travel by foot and by foot, it's a slow climb,
But I'm good at being uncomfortable, so
I can't stop changing all the time

...

Do I so worry you, you need to hurry to my side?
It's very kind
But it's to no avail; I don't want the bail
I promise you, everything will be just fine.

If there was a better way to go then it would find me
I can't help it, the road just rolls out behind me
Be kind to me, or treat me mean
I'll make the most of it, I'm an extraordinary machine.

Thanks, Fiona, for writing a song about my life. Keep up the good work!
